Overview

Belong CheckIn supports several ways for customers to pay — from crypto in their wallet to buying tickets with a credit card. This page covers card checkout and the staff-confirmed payment-request QR flow for venues.

Card checkout

Buyers can purchase NFT tickets with a credit or debit card — no crypto required. The card processor handles the payment and the ticket NFT is minted to the buyer's wallet. Card processing fees are charged by the payment provider and passed through (Belong does not earn from them) — see Fees & Staking.

Payment-request QR

For venues where staff confirm the amount before a customer pays (for example, a POS total), use a payment-request QR. The customer scans, staff send the amount, and the customer pays from their wallet.

Operator flow

1. In Hub details → CheckIn → General, set Check-in Access to Venue payment
2. In Venue, set the venue payment flow to owner-set amounts
3. On the Check-in QR Code card, switch from Check-in to Pay request
4. Optionally add a label such as Table 12, Bar, Patio, or Register 2
5. Print, download, copy, or share the QR
6. When a visitor scans it, a pending request appears for staff with the source and label
7. Staff send the amount; the visitor pays and the check-in is marked paid

Customer flow

1. The visitor scans the payment-request QR
2. The app confirms the venue still accepts owner-quoted payments
3. The visitor confirms the request
4. Staff send the amount
5. The visitor pays from their wallet and the transaction is recorded
